Rhinegeist Fool is a dry hopped Saison that comes in with a very modest 5.0 ABV. I’m not going to get too much into this beer. I don’t like Saisons, I just can’t get past the lemon character in them. This offering though is very light, and in some ways reminds me of a summer shandy, which I hate. Fool also reminds me of a cider, and I hate cider more than I hate shandies. Speaking of which, cider has no room in the beer aisle. Put that crap somewhere else.
So, there you go. I’m not going to review a beer I’m prejudiced against off the bat. If you like lemon and know someone who wants something light, this could be for them. It’s just not for me.
